Epicurean Baby Food

After an elaborately choreographed day of technical cooking for 'tomorrow'......then, after oral surgery, not able to bite or chew.....I reduced an entire 5-course dinner to 'baby food' in the food processor...with some coconut 'milk'......not very exciting-looking........I would, likely, have loved these spicy, herby, creamy concoctions....as an infant.....Perhaps I should send my formula to Gerber.......Food feeds creativity.....bland food makes for bland personalities........feed kids tasteless foods from jars and they will become pizza-eaters......A compassionate friend brought by some duck liver pate with truffles.....and, yes, I'm gonna 'down' it.....even without a tasty French baguette~

IN THE KITCHEN AT SUNRISE, SUNDAY MORNING

  Experimental Lunch.....a croissant pastry 'box' filled with crowder and black-eyed peas, okra, onions, scallions, ginger, chilis, orzo, mushrooms, diced dried apricots, green curry, Madras curry, rasam, dried dill pickle, green dragon sauce, olive bruschetta, and sweet red peppers in harissa salsa and 'painted' with hoi sin sauce/walnut oil..... served with a ladle of marinated red peppers, corn salsa, gyoza sauce and hoi sin ....i.e. clean out the fridge......a tasty little loaf...... Served with a bowl of roasted red pepper soup with hot Indonesian curry, powdered onions and garlic paste.......

Obesity is now killing triple the number of people who die from malnutrition........billions of pounds of fat will be packed on between Thanksgiving and the day after New Years Day......

  yet, Americans still awaken after sleeping on their fat asses, declaring "I'm starving to death!".....as they raid their fridges and stovetops  for yesterday's high-calorie leftovers..... This Thursday.....Thanksgiving Day.....a couple of hundred million people will be gorging on the 'products' seen on this table.....with little variation.......
