on and old new plate on a new old plate, noontime fare......a vegan-ish crimini mushroom patty with spinach, chopped cilantro, and mozzarella cheese, brushed on one side with crushed over-ripe figs...and the 'other' side, with mango, blueberry/raspberry/pineapple hot Thai pepper salsa, on a crunchy whole wheat toasted muffin.....with some 'garden greens' and bitter dandelion leaves from my back yard......a really late b'fast, actually....with a cup of Laotian coffee, surmounted by heavy cream, sweetened by just a touch of Sand Mountain sorghum, 'cut' from a thick 'cud' that a childhood friend sent from Scottsboro, Alabama......I missed 'sitting on the back stoop having lunch with Ryan L. today!

a mini-lunch, shared on a long-handled silver 'pitchfork' with a tiny adult 'hand fed' Pomeranian that is visiting a next door neighbor....and loved licking up the last of the dribbles of Saus Bumbu Tumis...... a glop of pumpkin/almond/ginger bread with ligonberry preserves and sliced almonds, now that 'Chi-Chi' dog has returned to her mommy's lap, taking her dripping tongue with her........although, I can see her nostrils, widening, at the potential of  'dessert'.......upps.....here she comes.....as I gobble the last crumbs, leaving a dry crust for 'Chi-Chi'.......

THE TOUTED LARGESSE OF MEDIOCRITY....

  a visit, yesterday afternoon, to what used to be Loehmann's Plaza......now, renamed a more 'fashionable' Brighten Park...brought about a 'dinner stop' at "Eataliano-Kitchen-Atlanta", where our waitress insured us that this was the 'best Italian restaurant in Atlanta'........The food was a bit disgusting, however....... I asked "Are your chicken wings as good as the ones at Thaicoon...down the street? "...... So, minutes later a plate of greasy, underseasoned 'wings' appeared, accompanied by some wilted, tasteless 'celery sticks' and rubbery 'carrot sticks' and a bowl of el cheapo ranch dressing.....the 'commercial' kind that comes in those huge plastic jars..........ugh!......then come the desserts.......my dinner companion had a sugary chocolate brownie...made, of course, from a commercial mix.....(add water and, maybe, an egg and a cup of saturated liquid fat......probably corn oil), dump on some
