BETTER THAN POPEYE'S!

After all those 'desserts'....I, finally, got in the 'mood' for the chicken livers.......soaking them in buttermilk, overnight, then rolling them in corn starch, coarse-ground yellow corn meal and herbs & spice mix from my mortar and pestle.....then cooked until crispy but still a bit rare, in almond oil with tabouli and rosemary...... served with tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce....

This 'ended up', as usual, in a grilled paratha "roll up" on a bed of tender green spinach leaves...

MORE CHILI-PRODUCTION...........chopped sirloin steak, red and orange bell peppers, chervil, majorum, chili powder, rasam powder, chopped onions, diced dried apricots and yellow raisins, crushed dissicated okra, sliced fresh okra, fava beans, chopped garlic, pomegranate molasses, scotch bonnet pepper sauce, green chilli sauce, inferno caliente pepper sauce, chopped tomatoes, thyme, chopped parsley & cilantro......Did I leave anything out?

ENDLESS PERMUTATION .......KOREAN/TEX-MIX/HELLENIC ACCENTED CONCOCTION FOR 2:00 MID-AFTERNOON LUNCHEON.....

        CHICKPEAS, MARINATED IN CHICKEN STOCK,  PICKLE JUICE,  GARLIC OIL & GREEN CURRY OIL.... AND SHREDDED BEEF FILET, PAN SAUTEED IN POMEGRANATE AND WALNUT OIL WITH CILANTRO & CHERVIL,  DRIED CHOPPED ONIONS, CHILLI OIL AND  CHILI POWDER, THEN SPRINKLED WITH A MIXTURE OF FINELY-CHOPPED HERBS, THEN DECORATED WITH MINIATURE WHITE CARROT STRIPS AND SLICED RED TOMATOES.......

A HINGED SILVER CONTAINER FOR THAT LEFTOVER SLICE OF PIZZA.........

 FAR MORE ELEGANT AND AESTHETICALLY-PLEASING....THAN A CARDBOARD 'PIZZA BOX'.....ON THE DINING TABLE......   IT IS A LOVELY CONTAINER FOR CANDIED FLOWERS, ALSO........OR  A HALF-SLICE OF TOAST FOR AFTERNOON TEA.....

'COLD MORNING' UNDERGROUND FOOD.....NUANCED BY TROPICAL ACCENTS.......AND A GENTLEMANLY CUP OF EARL GREY.......

another batch of 'yamcakes' with ginger, walnuts and spices......a nostalgic 'cook' of my Grandmother Flora's delicious cakes.....served with sour cream, drizzled with maple syrup......I'm making another batch, with grated, toasted coconut and black walnuts......pan-fried in butter and almond oil.....still in 'hold the broccoli' mode! and some 'yam spaghetti'! late, savory vegan luncheon, after a grueling morning of "unsavory" tasks, like peeling yams, carrots, sweet/white/red potatoes, turnips and rutabagas.......white yam spaghetti with walnuts, chopped scallions and coriander, chopped chilis, grated ginger, basil sprigs and tamarind paste......great with a mug of aromatic Earl Grey...... sorry, broccoli, your 'day' is 'tomorrow'.....the basil was 'first in line'..... and some 'yam spaghetti'! late, savory vegan luncheon, after a grueling morning of "unsavory" tasks, like peeling yams, car

  90% of the seafood that Americans consume as food is imported and chocked full of poisons......[Most of the seafood produced in our coastal waters is exported]......Our media-created Namegame obsessiveness with the familiar, popular, ,even tastelessly ordinary, precludes experimentation within our 'eat more pizza' Society, in which seafood comes in cans or as products passing through sliding windows into lines of cars full of hungry humans, anxiously awaiting fried from frozen farmed filets or chicken nuggets with fries... Is there a phone 'app' for 'crawling out of our boxes into the vastness', outside? There's always tasty tempeh, you know....It is rumored that Canadians actually produce and eat real food....or, is this just another ploy to encourage Americans' evacuation of The Land Of Plenty?
