THE 'MID-CENTURY' ELECTRIC STOVE WITH 'PULL-OUT' EYES........

I just noticed this old stove with 'pull out' elements.........My first stove, in Atlanta, and the only electric stove that I've owned.......Our tiny kitchen would not accomodate a full-size stove, so this was the only option.....Thank you, Alma and Bert Wells!

FROM THE BASEMENT TO THE TOP LEVEL KITCHEN VIA SOME TASTY CHICKEN.....

  How easy it is to stick to our habitual feeding customs.........An excuse to utilize my fabulous new All-Clad skillet.......to fry some breaded chicken tenders in avocado oil, with pine nuts, finely grated and toasted coconut, toasted sunflower seeds, English walnuts, Pad Thai Sauce, hot chili oil and chopped cilantro and scallions....and a few splashes of Valentina Mexican hot sauce... without the once annoying and troublesome chore of cleaning the sticky residue from that 'old' skillet that I used for many years......this concoction would, surely, have moved me to the 'top level kitchen' of Gordon, Nyesha and Richard's Next Level Chef.......... and, the necessaire.....dessert! key lime cheesecake with a hazelnut crust......enhanced with strips of prunes, marinated in orange liquor and a thin slice of tangerine, preserved in vodka, infused with bitter orange laraha.... accompanied with  Earl Gray tea with twisted orange peel..........

Somehow, my bean paste, pickle relish, and tomato patty on purple tortilla chips didn't 'hit the spot'....after I considered 'sweeter' options.......

A CRITICAL OBSERVATION........MADE 5 YEARS AGO.........AS I WONDER "WHAT WOULD THE 'NUMBERS' BE, NOW?"

One 84g Tyson 'chicken strip' has over 500mg of sodium.....Tyson may as well have breaded this 'breast' with crushed salty potato chips! I removed the semi-crunchy outer 'covering', only to discover that the 'meat' beneath had been pressure-infused  with salt brine.......It is, like almost ALL 'prepared food'......saturated with salt, tenderizers, 'extractives' and cryptic 'additives'......'stuff' for the 'drive-through windows' of Americans' feeding troughs.....I noticed, online shopping for some 'heathy food fare'....that one can even order saltsicles.....like salty pickles, but salty 'frozen desserts'......even salty caramel iced cream with salted nuts is on the shelves of the 'frozen products' lineup..... These 'big companies' are just serving up what they know 'we' like to gulp down.......don't want this junk?......well, let "them" know:  https://www.ty...
