Simple Patties.......Complicated Composition and Clean-Up

One last 'production' before kitchen clean up time.....iron skillet chicken cooked in walnut oil with scallions, ginger, tomatillo paste, garlic, orange bell and habanero peppers, corn chile, blackberries, red jalapenos, garlic and sourwood honey with a matching mound of nutty brown rice with cilantro, lemon juice, paprika and powdered chipotle.... .......the taste pinnacle of this week's 'kitchen stadium' experimentation.....to balance hot, sweet, sour, bitter, nutty, fruity and meaty......the scale's 'needle' is exactly on Zero....This little piggy had chicken thighs.....then, already home, had a big mess to clean up!

  THE STRANGE HARPIE SERVER............i received this, with a copy of Max Beerbohm's "ZULIEKA DOBSON"......... This seemed so oddly coincidental.......... After i initiated my collection of unusual silver serving objects, i read Huysmanns' "AGAINST THE GRAIN".........which confirmed my acceptance of 'eccentric' as a nomenclature....... I have always preferred the bizarre and unusual to more accepted aesthetic sensibilities that have the designation by conservative thinkers as objects, events or ideas whose envisioned end has determined the appropriate means for their realization. Perceived Beauty is the advancement of yesterday into tomorrow, with an instinctual regard to proportion, meaningfulness and philosophical ideology, in such manner as the highest expression of pure mathematics is manifest, perhaps...........

Cooking tomatoes releases the antioxidant lycopene, which is linked to a lower risk of cancer and heart attacks; cooked mushrooms, unlike 'raw' mushrooms, has been shown to support immune response; and beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin in spinach is more absorbable, when cooked......So, I should be super-healthy, since my favorite omelet consists of these, along with red bell peppers, scallions and chopped herbs.......all of which boost the Immune System's response to toxins, bacteria and viruses.......Now, to make some chocolate disks.....as reward for having eaten a half pound of grilled Brussel sprouts last night......(admittedly, with lots of asiago cheese and pepper)......Now, for some inspiration from the 1974 cookbook, Les Dîners de Gala.......

it's far easier to just make something new than go to the bother of copying the Past......Reading a recipe and duplicating someone else's conceptualization is more time-consuming and far less interesting than 'just working from the top of one's head'......'quick and easy' is far less satisfying than 'slow and complex'....unless, of course, one is a caged bird, just pecking seeds from a little container, between the 'bars of its confinement......

  Thinking, through some 'taste overload' about Limits.....This morning, preparing some spicy chili, with ground turkey, 3 types of onion, chili powder, spicy chopped tomatos and white northern beans, I decided to 'empty' a half-full bottle of Scotch-Bonnet pepper sauce and the last of the Harissa powder, some pestle-ground cumin seeds, the last of a bottle of 'jerk' sauce, a half cup of dried coriander, a few grinds of black, yellow and red peppers and some ground pink sea salt......I 'knew' what was coming! Just getting close enough to stir all this 'HEAT' in the iron skillet, my eyes flooded with tears; and, a half spoonful of this Cajun/Indonesian concoction gave my nostrils a 'FIRE ALERT!' signal, with my sinuses flooding mucus to quench the pain.......I'm having a tiny souffle bowl of this fire-breathing dragon's exhalation....nose running, lips pulsing and tongue...begging for a soothing spoonful of vanilla iced cream......

OPEN WIDE!......A 4-inch thick 'Dagwood Sandwich'........Requiring both hands and a big mouth!

ENDOMETRIAL OMELET

  a luncheon treat, today.......Endometrial Omelet.....many ingredients, including yam gnocchi Moroccan style and sweet yellow corn and pimento chutney, dissicated spicy okra and Bhindi masala and 5 varieties of Asian peas, beans in green curry sauce, and peppers, upon a Malabari Paratha, enveloped by a translucent Vietnamese rice flour spring roll skin......

ANIMAL MUSCLE TISSUE WITH BONE MARROW........AND A FLIRTATION OF VEGETABLES

  When I think I should return to vegetarianism, Filet Merchand du Vin - Pan-seared Tenderloin with Bone Marrow, in a rich red burgundy sauce & shallot reduction just tugs at my taste buds.....If it were veal, ripped untimely from it's mother's womb......it'd be easier....I'm such a hypocrite sometimes......hmmmmmm....this tastes soooo good....Yotam Ottolenghi....just get over it......what! put that leg of lamb down.....

Home-Deli Toasted 'THIN' Bagel ...... Mortadello, coarse-mustard with ground mustard seeds and sliced yellow 'cherry' tomatoes.....

Eight wholesome components in a 4oz handful......first of my Eight small meals per day Routine.....each eaten with deliberation....and very slowly,  after having been disgusted, recently, watching folks wolfing down all that trashy,  paper-bagged junk at a McDonald's, where I parked my vehicle to pick up some watch repairs.....20 vehicles were lined up....all driven by overweight people...all 'on' their phones....to load up on mass-produced junque food......then gulping from the bags as they left the cashier's window......some pulled 'over to the side' for a couple of minutes...to 'complete' their meal of 'fast food'.....one SUV's occupants, an adult and 5 elementary school kids engaged in a rather hostile conflict over 'who got the most fries', which led the adult's returning to the drive-through window to demand 'more fries' and extra salt.......  

THE ABATEMENT OF SHARP PAIN IN MY SIDE AND BACK..........A RESOLUTION BY SELF-DIAGNOSIS....AND...WITHOUT VISITING A DOCTOR, WHO WOULD....SURELY...JUST PRESCRIBE 'DRUGS'......NO THANKS!

 Several friends suggested that i 'see a doctor' or 'consult with a physician/specialist' regarding the acute and unrelenting pain that i was having........Not one 'for doctors or emergency room trips' or the thousands of bucks that they empty from one's wallets.....i did some homework of my own.......hmm.....finding a list of 'foodstuffs to avoid...if I'm having these Symptoms'.....they were...and listed in this order:    Spinach Rhubarb Almonds and cashews Miso soup Grits Baked potatoes with skin Beets Cocoa powder Okra Bran cereals and shredded wheat cereals French fries Raspberries Stevia Sweeteners  Sweet potatoes ALL OF THESE ARE...MAKE THAT 'WERE'....ON MY 'MOST OFTEN CONSUMED' LIST....WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 'STEVIA', WHICH I'VE NEVER USED.....I'VE EATEN ALMONDS AND CASHEWS...EVERY DAY, FOR YEARS....OFTEN WITH BRAN/WHEAT CEREALS AND RASPBERRIES!   THE LIST WAS A SURPRISE, SINCE I'D NEVER ASSOCIATED THE PA...
