YET, NO ONE TOUCHED ANY OF THESE "ASSIGNED" APPETIZERS, YESTERDAY.......AS THEY LOADED THEIR PLATES WITH THE "CUSTOMARY STUFF"........



my 'untraditional' contributions to Thanksgiving Dinner were ignored and untested this afternoon........gaping fish mouth pasta in cheese-truffle sauce; Indian sweet toast with sauerkraut, German sausage slices and red chili paste & garlic; red pepper hummus with wasabi dissicated green snow peas, Indian wheat puffs and baked root vegetable chips; and toasted focaccia, smeared with red caramelized onions, parsley/garlic salsa verde and red curry paste..........I'll have these peculiarities and the fresh-caught tuna salad with Ritz crackers, not photographed, for breakfast tomorrow morning........I made a cranberry cheesecake, but left it on my kitchen counter......so, I'm having a slice right now...as though I needed another few hundred calories!

    one dinner guest.....the 'Hostess' did take a bite of the sausage toast, and issued a polite comment, before returning to her mashed potatoes, turkey and cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce.....to return to the palate of normal expectations.........

a mini-lunch, shared on a long-handled silver 'pitchfork' with a tiny adult 'hand fed' Pomeranian that is visiting a next door neighbor....and loved licking up the last of the dribbles of Saus Bumbu Tumis...... a glop of pumpkin/almond/ginger bread with ligonberry preserves and sliced almonds, now that 'Chi-Chi' dog has returned to her mommy's lap, taking her dripping tongue with her........although, I can see her nostrils, widening, at the potential of  'dessert'.......upps.....here she comes.....as I gobble the last crumbs, leaving a dry crust for 'Chi-Chi'.......

THE TOUTED LARGESSE OF MEDIOCRITY....

  a visit, yesterday afternoon, to what used to be Loehmann's Plaza......now, renamed a more 'fashionable' Brighten Park...brought about a 'dinner stop' at "Eataliano-Kitchen-Atlanta", where our waitress insured us that this was the 'best Italian restaurant in Atlanta'........The food was a bit disgusting, however....... I asked "Are your chicken wings as good as the ones at Thaicoon...down the street? "...... So, minutes later a plate of greasy, underseasoned 'wings' appeared, accompanied by some wilted, tasteless 'celery sticks' and rubbery 'carrot sticks' and a bowl of el cheapo ranch dressing.....the 'commercial' kind that comes in those huge plastic jars..........ugh!......then come the desserts.......my dinner companion had a sugary chocolate brownie...made, of course, from a commercial mix.....(add water and, maybe, an egg and a cup of saturated liquid fat......probably corn oil), dump on some
