LIGHTLY TOASTED GOLDEN PECAN WHOLE GRAIN BREAD, SPREAD WITH YELLOW CURRY SAUCE, THEN  GENEROUSLY SPREAD WITH BABA GANOUSH, COVERED WITH THINLY SLICED BAKED HAM, SPRINKLED WITH TABBOLEH.......

FOR A CAFFEINATED AFTERTHOUGHT,   an afternoon wake-up for another chilly, wet afternoon.....an expresso with Tia-Maria and cinnamon, in a cup decorated with the 'five of hearts' and 'six of clubs'.....representing 'abandoned loves' and 'compromised relationahips'....fenced by bittersweet chocolate-topped peanut/granola slabs and a few toasted coconut and cocoa chips.....

  may be 'when one loves only the inside slices of bread and another, the 'end pieces'.......I am an 'end slice' person and have been 'one' since childhood.....Today's NuttZo 7 nut, 23 seed butter, sliced banana and Terrapin Ridge Hot Pepper & Bacon Jam sandwich...on toasted, gluten-free 7-grain bread is at the top of my personal Food Pyramid....especially, when served with a big cup of Kona, in which a generous portion of Ghirardelli 92% cacao dark chocolate is melted before adding a quarter cup of heavy cream......

                              choosing between some fresh chicken livers, rolled in yellow corn meal, crushed rosemary & corn starch, then fried....crispy........lost to a more puerile indulgence.....last evening.......the 'liver' is 'on' for brunch, tomorrow.....sorry about that Marie Antoinette.........what do you mean by ....'I imagined that you'd be serving pheasant with prunes over saffron basmanti....Incidentally, I forgot that I had made other plans for brunch, tomorrow....' How about a maple syrup dip for the 'livers'?, or spicy barbequed quail breast...on a light, crispy Belgian waffle....drizzled with maple syrup...or sourwood toast points, aesthetically smeared with a sweet mango/blackberry chutney, perhaps...to be eaten with one of Sergie Rachmaninov's fancy Art Nouveau forks, Your Majesty ?.....No?..Well, I'll reckon that I'll just have some doves eggs custard with sponge bundt cake, soaked ...
