VIEWING EPISODE 9 OF SEASON 1 OF "THE ULTIMATE BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP"


Memories of my late friend, Hill Irving sprung from my Memory Banks....as did those of Sylvia Weinstock.......who mastered the art of combining sugars, fats and chocolates, ensuring the inevitably forthcoming increase in body weight and waist sizes for so many Americans.....In Paris, the dessert, pictured above, would be an inch and a half in diameter......In America, it is the size of a tangerine, if not that of an orange......Entry into its sweet interior is obtained by pouring a hot, sweet 'goo' onto a hardened chocolate sphere, filled with other sweet delights.....

  Experimental Lunch.....a croissant pastry 'box' filled with crowder and black-eyed peas, okra, onions, scallions, ginger, chilis, orzo, mushrooms, diced dried apricots, green curry, Madras curry, rasam, dried dill pickle, green dragon sauce, olive bruschetta, and sweet red peppers in harissa salsa and 'painted' with hoi sin sauce/walnut oil..... served with a ladle of marinated red peppers, corn salsa, gyoza sauce and hoi sin ....i.e. clean out the fridge......a tasty little loaf...... Served with a bowl of roasted red pepper soup with hot Indonesian curry, powdered onions and garlic paste.......

Obesity is now killing triple the number of people who die from malnutrition........billions of pounds of fat will be packed on between Thanksgiving and the day after New Years Day......

  yet, Americans still awaken after sleeping on their fat asses, declaring "I'm starving to death!".....as they raid their fridges and stovetops  for yesterday's high-calorie leftovers..... This Thursday.....Thanksgiving Day.....a couple of hundred million people will be gorging on the 'products' seen on this table.....with little variation.......
